Yay, a penpal ad!

I’m a little behind on penpal ads – I apologize to everyone who’s been waiting… I have received quite a few ads over the last month and I’ll try to post them more regularly from now on.

Here’s a pretty envelope from Kestrel in the USA!

And here’s Kestrel’s penpal ad!

I think that having a penpal named Kestrel must be pretty amazing. Come on people, you know you want to write her!

  1. I can’t take any new penpals now, but I just wanted to say I absolutely love the stationery! Anyone willing to share what brand it is / where you can find it? Thanks in advance and Kestrel, good luck with finding penpals!

  2. Ilse, I have to agree with you: the stationery is lovely! It is made by Dark Horse. I have a couple of sets made by them and they’re all wonderful. The only problem is that the packs only contain 8 sheets of paper and 6 envelopes, which is not practical at all for a long letter writer like me!

I found my sets on eBay and Amazon, but you can see all the stationery sets on their website: http://www.darkhorse.com/Search/stationery

    I hope this helps! :)

  3. The stationery is absolutely adorable and I think Kestrel’s add sounds amazing, I found us agreeing in comments already for quite a while. :D

  4. I’m so excited to see my add and the lovely pictures of my sent mail. :)
Julie already got the stationery question answered, but I’ll add that I like to buy their sets from Amazon because they often have a buy 3 get 1 free deal. It also bothers me that the envelope to stationery sheet ratio is so small, but the envelopes are so pretty I just put other stationery sheets in them as well.
I’ve already got a few emails, but wouldn’t mind more friends at all. :)

  5. So lovely penpal add <3 There was so many things I love too, like knitting, rubberstamps, books, papercrafts and long letters etc :)

I also loved writing papers that Kestrel had used… poor bank account of mine, because I found out that some Finnish web book stores are selling these cuties and I just had to order some sets… as my own Christmas presents… or what ever reason I can figure out ;D

  6. Johanna: WHICH Finnish web book store? Share ;)

  7. Thanks for the stationery info! :)

  8. It’s http://www.adlibris.com/fi/

  9. What a beautiful handwriting and I have to agree with everyone: the stationery is so pretty :)

Hello!

My name is Julie and I'm 37.
I'm French Canadian and fell
in love with an American,
so I'm now living in Vermont
with my wife.

I write letters, I love stationery and I have a handwriting fetish. I often eat sushi, still feel like I'm 16 and only wear skirts & dresses (with colorful tights when it's cold).

I'm happier with a mind full of ideas, a mailbox full of letters from my penpals, a shop full of stationery, a house full of pens and a day full of hugs.

happily ever after in the
Stationery Kingdom.

Denise blogs here too and is

She's 40 years old,
from South Dakota,
and in love with me, washi
tape & imperial rolls.
