Our first man!

I was happy to receive a postcard from a man who’s looking for penpals!

I love Kiru’s handwriting. And wow, look at that stamp…

Here’s our first manly penpal ad:

Kiru 2

Are there any other men who read my blog? If so, say hello! And feel free to send me a penpal ad!

  1. I love cards like that, it is beautiful! :) I have two male pals, a rarity, I guess but I love them both as much as any of my female pen pals. I am suspecting that it was the same Robert who sent you the airmail envelopes?! :) It is a shame that there are so few guys who are seriously into pen palling… :(

  2. Hello, yes other men read your blog :) And yes, men do snail mailing too :) Hi all !

  3. That is such a pretty postcard and the stamp is amazing.

  4. Hi Andreas!! :)

And Sabrina, I’m not sure it’s the same Robert… The one who sent me the envelopes was a man in his sixties! How old is “your” Robert?

  5. then it is not the same ;) it just sounded like “mine” :D

  6. Hi Julie :) I’ve been thinking about taking part in Penpal of The Week … perhaps in the future :) Thx for your blog, made some friends via POTW :)

  7. I’m glad to read that, Andreas! And I’d love to interview you, so let me know if/when you’re ready!

  8. Wow thank you for posting my ad. I have been reading your site for several weeks now. It’s so interesting reading about people in all corners of the world and about their lives. The postcard I picked up on trip to Morocco. The stamp is one of the prettier ones produced by the South African post office. Happy letter writing!

Hello!

My name is Julie and I'm 32.
I live in Québec (close to Montréal) and I speak French.

I write letters, I love stationery and I have a handwriting fetish. I often eat cucumber sandwiches, still feel like I'm 16 and only wear skirts & dresses (with colorful tights when it's cold).

I'm happier with a mind full of ideas, a mailbox full of letters from my penpals, a shop full of stationery, a house full of cats and a day full of hugs.
