Mail: in and out
Receiving letters from my penpals always makes me happy, but getting mail from blog readers is also really lovely.
Here’s some of my recent incoming mail!
A note from Brian in the USA who enjoys my blog… and is thinking about possibly submitting a penpal ad. Please do, Brian! I’d be happy to publish it on my blog for you…

A letter from Erica in Finland who used gorgeous stationery… and a kitty stamp! <3

A postcard from Jennie in Sweden who spent a week in Italy.

A letter from Sandra in The Netherlands who’s my Lovely Letters partner!

And here’s the letter I sent to Sandra for our task #1. (Recognize the stationery, Sara?!)

I also recently wrote a letter to my stationery sidekick, Laura in Canada.

I have more outgoing pictures to show you, but it will have to wait because Martin and I are watching a movie tonight! (The Jacket)
What is everyone up to this weekend?

This is some gorgeous mail. And I love the vintage looking comic stamps you used, Julie!
I love Sandra’s stationery, and the comic book stamps! This weekend I saw about 4 bands in the space of 3 hours, it was like a SAUNA in there.
Fab stationary Brian used ! All gorgeous mail indeed !
Where did you find the stationery you used for Laura’s letter? I’m in love with it! :D
Thanks everyone!
Tári, I bought it on Zazzle (online store)! It’s very pretty indeed but I hate the quality of the paper because it doesn’t absorb ink very well… I hate smears! :/
I hope everyone’s having a good weekend, Julie your incoming and outgoing mail looks so fab, the Stationary looks so cute and adorable and Awesometastic! I hope all of you have a good week, this week and may we all get a ton of mail. :)
Thank you Natalie, that sounds like a little prayer, I love it! May we all get a ton of mail indeed :)
Both me and my boyfriend are highly impressed with the comic stamps!
Why, oh why can’t the Swedish post office (or whoever’s in charge of the matter) start designing some exciting stamps for once? They’re all royal family, cones, cheese and bread or pretentious art photographs in gray-scale. :(
Sofie, I love these stamps so much and I’m so sad that they were issued in 1995 because they’re hard to find nowadays… I was only able to purchase one batch from a seller on eBay. I knew that Laura would love them, so I sent them to her but if I’m ever able to get another set, I’ll use them for one of your letters!
Cheese and bread stamps? Ha, that’s… intriguing?
Wow the stamps on Laura’s envelope are a tiny work of art. I love them!! But actually I must say that all the mail you received and sent is pretty awesome <3
Julie, I love your posts with outgoing and incoming mail! Makes me happy to see that so much mail is being sent around the world :)
Take care! /Jennie
Laura does indeed love the Superhero stamps. And she’s so appreciative of superpal Julie for sending them to her. So much so that she’s talking about herself in the third person.
I love that letter from Sandra. Is the envelope hand panted and then embellished? It’s wonderful and I’m a bit jealous of it!
Thanks Kestrel!
The envelope is an aquarel painting indeed. The owl is not painted by me. I wish I could paint like that! ;)
