I’m jealous of people who have unique addresses. Mine is so boring! I wish I lived in Rainbow City or Brilliant, AL!

This got me researching fun city names and I found out that there’s a town named Dinosaur in Colorado. How awesome is that?!

What’s your favorite city or street name? Who has a special address?

  1. Near us there is the Land of Nod and the Land of Green Ginger!

Loving the quirks, Marie! When I was a dental student I had boxes full of index cards too!

  2. Land of Green Ginger! Sounds kind of magical. Love it!

  3. There’s a little town here in Wisconsin called Ferryville, because it’s on the river and there’s a ferry that you can catch that goes across the river to Iowa. My parents met in that town, and every time they told us the story of how they met, I always pictured it as Fairyville, a magical place inhabited my mythical creatures. Several years ago, I saw it in print and realized that it was probably not a mythical place after all. :(

  4. Awww, life was more exciting when we were kids, wasn’t it?!

  5. At least it seems more magical through the eyes of a child…

  6. I’m a fan of Rancho Cucamonga, lol. It’s just fun to say. I have a pal in Beeville. The best name of a town I can think of in my province is Volcan. I’m imbarrassed to say I’ve never been there, but I will.

  7. So many fun names! People who live in Rancho Cucamonga must be so cheerful… :D

  8. I would love to live in Dinosaur city!
Here in Norway we have both Paradis(e) and Hell, your choise ;)

  9. Paradise and Hell?! Amazing! I’ll pick the first one, thank you very much.

  10. I used to live on Easy Street. I almost purchased a house on Pleasant Street. All of my other addresses have been dull.

Hello!

My name is Julie and I'm 37.
I'm French Canadian and fell
in love with an American,
so I'm now living in Vermont
with my wife.

I write letters, I love stationery and I have a handwriting fetish. I often eat sushi, still feel like I'm 16 and only wear skirts & dresses (with colorful tights when it's cold).

I'm happier with a mind full of ideas, a mailbox full of letters from my penpals, a shop full of stationery, a house full of pens and a day full of hugs.

This is me with my wife,
Denise. We met through the
League of Extraordinary
Penpals and are living
happily ever after in the
Stationery Kingdom.

Denise blogs here too and is
the one in charge of the
social media: Facebook,
Twitter and Pinterest.

She's 40 years old,
from South Dakota,
and in love with me, washi
tape & imperial rolls.
