Coco in the USA

I’m posting a quirky penpal ad! Can you believe it?!

It’s by Coco in the USA, whose tattoo I’d love to see.

I thought that babies were born in cars only in the movies! Fun quirks, Coco.

Back from Mexico!

I had a great time with my son and my mom on the Riviera Maya. Proof:

Mexico 2014 - 1

Mexico 2014 - 2

I only recently came back home, but quite a few things already happened. The most interesting ones: I was interviewed about the League of Extraordinary Penpals by someone who’s writing an article for the BBC website, and I met my penpal and birthday twin Cindy for the second time – first time was documented here.

Here are some pictures of Cindy & I and Martin & I that were taken yesterday.

I wrote a bunch of letters when I was in Mexico, so a few people can expect to hear from me soon: Sofie in Sweden, Sara in the USA, Lisa in France, Denica in Australia, Kimmie in the USA, Bonnie in Canada, Becky in the USA, and Ginger in the USA. A letter for Korina in the USA was also started, but I haven’t had a chance to finish it yet. I still owe letters to Laura in Canada, Michi in Poland, and Amber in Canada… Thank you for your patience, girls!

Now I need to catch up because I have over 300 unread emails! So if you wrote me and didn’t hear back, it’s not because I’m ignoring you, I promise. I WILL get back to you eventually. I’m determined to go through my whole inbox!

I’ll also be posting the quirky penpal ads I have very soon. Come back tomorrow for one of them!

P.S.: La Papierre was closed during my holidays but is now open again.

My name is Julie and I'm 37.
I'm French Canadian and fell
in love with an American,
so I'm now living in Vermont
with my wife.

I write letters, I love stationery and I have a handwriting fetish. I often eat sushi, still feel like I'm 16 and only wear skirts & dresses (with colorful tights when it's cold).

I'm happier with a mind full of ideas, a mailbox full of letters from my penpals, a shop full of stationery, a house full of pens and a day full of hugs.

Read my Top 10 Quirks here.

This is me with my wife,
Denise. We met through the
League of Extraordinary
Penpals and are living
happily ever after in the
Stationery Kingdom.

Denise blogs here too and is
the one in charge of the
social media: Facebook,
Twitter and Pinterest.

She's 40 years old,
from South Dakota,
and in love with me, washi
tape & imperial rolls.
