Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is in October. But Julie was quite sick with a cold on October 13, so we were not able to celebrate. Where I’m originally from (in the States), it was Thanksgiving this past Thursday and we decided we would celebrate! I cooked a modest, but traditional American Thanksgiving meal. And we spent some time reflecting on the things we are thankful for.
And now I’m in the mode of putting cranberry on all the things! It has been on pizza, a tuna melt sandwich and some odd leftover open faced sandwich I created. I have a few other sandwich-y plans brewing in my mind. I’m open to new suggestions…
On the Blog:
One of the members from the LEP was featured as our Penpal of the Week on Monday. Sophie is originally from England but now she’s in Canada. She lists “Sophish” as a language she corresponds in and I think you’ll really enjoy reading her entire interview here.
On Thursday, Julie posted this week’s new SOTW design. If Julie was alive in 1890 she would look like the lovely lady in this design. There are still notepads for sale through Wednesday. (Unless we run out, don’t let that happen before you get yours!)
In keeping with the Thanksgiving tradition, we had a Black Friday sale over at La Papierre. It’s still going on, by the way. The 40% off your entire order coupon code will be valid through the end of Monday. Get all the details about this super sale here!
And that’s our week. Julie and I are about to have dinner and then settle in with a movie. Have you seen About Time before? I have not, but it’s one of Julie’s favorites and I can’t wait to watch it with her.
