Top 10 Quirks 3.0

Do you ever feel like you’ve changed so much in such a short period of time that you must be a completely new person now, and you look back on events from your past with a mix of shame and disbelief?

Like that time when my parents embarrassed me in front of my best friend by telling her that I had a crush on Donnie from New Kids on the Block… Thanks mom. That was the year before! (Now I dare you not to waste the next 30 minutes looking at old NKOTB photos on Google.)

That’s kind of how I feel about my old Top 10 Quirks (and my old old Top 10 Quirks). Time for a new and improved list!

Now it’s your turn! Either send in a quirky penpal ad, or comment with something from your past that is slightly embarrassing! Or just tell me who your favorite New Kid on the Block was. (I swear I only wasted less than 10 minutes Googling them.)

  1. Nick from the BackStreetBoys was my favorite and somewhere is a picture of me in my room and posters ALL over the place. Thinking about that photo is enough to burry myself :D ( go ahead, google the blondy )

  2. I don’t know if that’s your handwriting or a font, but LOVE IT!!

  3. Mary, I think Nick looks better now than he did as a teenager! ;)

And yes Jennifer, that’s my handwriting. Thanks for the compliment!

I’d love to read YOUR quirks now!

  4. It was great to read about you and your happy-hippie-heart! :) Oh, and Jordan all the way for me.

  5. I love your quirks. So well thought out. Hugs to you, your son, and your love.

Hello!

My name is Julie and I'm 37.
I'm French Canadian and fell
in love with an American,
so I'm now living in Vermont
with my wife.

I write letters, I love stationery and I have a handwriting fetish. I often eat sushi, still feel like I'm 16 and only wear skirts & dresses (with colorful tights when it's cold).

I'm happier with a mind full of ideas, a mailbox full of letters from my penpals, a shop full of stationery, a house full of pens and a day full of hugs.

This is me with my wife,
Denise. We met through the
League of Extraordinary
Penpals and are living
happily ever after in the
Stationery Kingdom.

Denise blogs here too and is
the one in charge of the
social media: Facebook,
Twitter and Pinterest.

She's 40 years old,
from South Dakota,
and in love with me, washi
tape & imperial rolls.
