Hello darlings! I hope everyone had a great week. Mine was lovely – we had 45 centimeters of snow a few days ago and now we have a huge mound of snow in the backyard! It’s probably at least 15 feet tall. Louis-Justin and I have a lot of fun sliding together…
The view from my balcony this morning. My poor little car!
We also spent some quality time inside, playing board games, watching movies (Ponyo yesterday), reading… Even Arnaud likes to read, apparently!
I haven’t written one single letter so far, but I’m hoping to at least finish my novel to Laura next week. And then maybe I can finally start writing back to Jessica, Sandra and Lisa who have been waiting for a reply since November!
Thanks to everyone who voted in my last poll. Only 144 people did, but I know that it wasn’t such an exciting topic for you guys. Here are the results anyway!
And this week, something a little more fun:
Thanks in advance for voting!
If any of you have to deal with emotional issues right now or struggle with their mental health and would like to talk about it to a penpal who can relate, Lady Kayy is still looking for participants for her Deep Letters Correspondence Project. I’m sure it could be great for anyone who’s not feeling too well and needs someone to confide in.
Well, time for fun in the snow with my little guy! I’m looking forward to the UFC with my friends tonight… What are your plans for the weekend? See you tomorrow!
The holidays are here! Louis-Justin and Martin had their last day of school on Friday so now my guys have a 17-18 day break. Yay! Our plans together include movies, board games, books, puzzles, video games and snowballs.
As for me, I don’t get an official break because I’m self-employed, but I’ll try not to work too much for the next 2 weeks. Only a few hours each day! (I tend to work 7 days a week but I know I shouldn’t do that…) I want to catch up on my mail because I’m so behind at the moment! I hope my penpals forgive me. I’ll try to stay up to date in 2013. One of my resolutions…
Oh, I received more birthday mail this past week! Thank you to:
Ann-Marie Preiner in Scotland
Barbara Prince in Brazil
Jacque Davis in the USA
Laura in Germany
Mute Sound in Spain
Ryosuke Cohen in Japan
Also, thank you to the 173 people who voted in last week’s poll! Here are the results.
How wonderful that 95% of my blog readers mostly or always handwrite! Now before throwing rocks at me, please know that I understand that some people can’t write letters by hand because of health problems or things like that. And that’s OK! But I love it that so many people make the effort of making their letters more personal by handwriting them, that’s all.
Now I know that this week’s poll might not be that interesting to you, but I’d really like to know how you found my blog!
Please take 30 seconds to vote! Thank you so much.
I enjoyed participating in Marta’ Secret Santa penpal swap this month and I’m wondering whether or not my partner has received my letter and present… ? Are you reading this, mysterious-person-that-I-can’t-name-in-case-you-haven’t-received-my-swap-yet?! I received my letter and wonderful gift from my Secret Santa (THANK YOU LOUISA!!!) and I’ll post about it next week.
Before I go, let me show you some pictures of the babies I took last month! They often sleep like that… Adorable!
What are your plans for the weekend and the holidays? I hope everyone has a great Saturday!
